Brenna Ochoa earned Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week accolades, announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Ochoa, an Omaha, Neb., native, scored the game-winning goal against Kansas in double overtime on Friday night. With less than 30 seconds remaining in extra time, Ochoa fired a shot from 20 yards out that found the back of the net and gave NU the victory. She played 66 minutes and took two shots.

Ochoa also made an appearance in Nebraska’s 2-1 win over Saint Louis on Sunday. She played 36 minutes against the Billikens and helped NU improve to 5-1-0, its best six-game start since 2010.

The Huskers close out their non-conference slate this weekend with a pair of matches. Nebraska hosts Dayton on Friday at Hibner Stadium, starting at 7:05 p.m. (CT), on BTN Plus. On Sunday, NU visits Clemson for an 11 a.m. (CT) kick on WatchESPN.
