Wright, Deeg Share Big Ten Golfer-of-the-Week Honor
Lincoln – Nebraska's Katelyn Wright and Cassie Deeg were named Big Ten Co-Women's Golfers of the Week, when the conference office announced its award winners on Wednesday.

Wright, a senior from Incline Village, Nev., and Deeg, a sophomore from Hugo, Minn., tied for second individually while leading the Huskers to a tournament title at the 15-team Mountain View Collegiate, March 28-29 in Tucson, Ariz.

Wright produced the best tournament finish and score (213) of her collegiate career, while Deeg matched her career-best tournament score (213).

Wright fired rounds of 71, 72 and 70, while Deeg produced rounds of 72, 70 and 71 to lead the Huskers to a three-round team tournament score of 874.

The award was Deeg's second Big Ten Golfer-of-the-Week honor of the year, joining her award after opening the season with medalist honors in leading the Big Red to the Chip-N Club Tournament title, Sept. 9-10 at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln.

It is also Wright's second career Big Ten Golfer-of-the-Week award, following her selection on Oct. 11, 2012.

Wright and Deeg lead the Huskers to the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational this weekend. Tee times begin on Friday, April 4 at 8 a.m. at the Dallas Athletic Club. Live scoring will be available at
