Big Ten Announces Pre-Seeds

Five Huskers earned top-five pre-seeds for the Big Ten Championships, announced by the conference on Monday.

Senior Jake Sueflohn achieved the best pre-seed by a Husker with the No. 3 spot at 149 pounds. A two-time Big Ten runner-up, Sueflohn is 24-4 this season, which includes a 13-3 record in duals.

All-American TJ Dudley (184) and Tim Lambert (125) each garnered the fourth seed for the Big Ten Championships. Eric Montoya (133) and Aaron Studebaker (197) each round out the top five in their respective weight class.

Additional seeded Huskers include Anthony Abidin (No. 6 at 141), Austin Wilson (No. 6 at 165), Micah Barnes (No. 6 at 174), Collin Jensen (No. 6 at heavyweight) and Tyler Berger (No. 7 at 157).

The Big Ten Championships begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. (CT) and run through Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. The first three sessions will be streamed on BTN Plus and the finals will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
