One of the largest earthquakes in Nebraska history struck early Sunday afternoon near O'Neill. The U.S. Geological Service has confirmed.. A 4.3 magnitude quake hit just before 3 o'clock. The epi-center was near the town of Butte. The quake lasted about 10 seconds. The shock was felt in parts of South Dakota and Iowa. We had several people call in who felt tremors here in Lincoln. So far very little damage is being reported.. Besides a few cracked foundations near Butte. Fortunately no injuries have been reported either.
