Nebraska Man Faces Child Sexual Assault Charges
A former Blue Hill, Nebraska man is facing child sexual assault charges. State Attorney General Jon Bruning announced the charges Wednesday morning, which also include making child pornography. 36 year old Jeffery Myers, who served as a foster parent was arrested Tuesday in Grand Island, where he now lives. The three children involved in the case were not under Myer's foster supervision in Blue Hill, which is about 15-miles south of Hastings.
Bruning says his office was asked in May by the Webster County Attorney's office to help in the case. Investigators fear many more children were also involved. Authorities first became aware of the possession of child pornography in June of 2003, but a backlog at the state crime lab delayed the discovery of further criminal activities. Myers is now being held in the Hall County jail on nine felony counts. His arraignment is scheduled for Friday morning.
