Lincoln – The Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday that a pair of Nebraska men’s basketball non-conference home games have been selected for national television.

The Huskers’ 2016-17 opener against Sacramento State on Sunday, Nov. 13, will tip off at 7 p.m. (CT) and be televised on BTN, while Nebraska’s annual matchup with Creighton on Dec. 7 will also be televised on BTN with an 8 p.m. tipoff from Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Today’s announcements are part of the 47 non-conference games that BTN will show during the 2016-17 season.

With today’s announcement, a minimum of seven non-conference games have been selected for broadcast, including all three games from the DIRECTV Wooden Legacy. NU opens tournament play against Dayton on Thanksgiving night at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU. The other games of the Wooden Legacy will be carried on various ESPN network stations.

Nebraska’s game at Kansas on Saturday, Dec. 10, will tip off at 2:15 p.m. and be televised on ESPN, while the Huskers’ ACC/B1G Challenge game at Clemson on Wednesday, Nov. 30, will be televised on ESPNU with an 8 p.m. (CT) tip.

Other non-conference games could be picked up for television as the Big Ten’s television partners release their non-conference schedules in the coming weeks. Every Big Ten Conference game is broadcast nationally on one network’s TV partners (CBS, BTN, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU) and that will be announced later this summer.

Season tickets for the 2016-17 season will go on sale on Sept. 1 at 10 a.m., by visiting Huskers.com/Tickets or calling 800-8-BIGRED. The home schedule features matchups with Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue and Creighton. Fans who sign up for the 2016-17 request list this week and can join the Seat Yourself process currently underway.
