Nebraska Soldiers Return Home

It was a sweet homecoming. Hundreds of people turned out Sunday afternoon in Fremont to welcome home more than 150 members of the 1012th quartermaster company. It's been six months since these soldiers have been home to Nebraska.  The members of the 10-12th arrived home with hundreds of well wishers on hand…not to mention awards waiting to be handed out. Alicia Payvandi was one of the soldiers who was decorated…awarded for her outstanding service. Her mother says that makes her mother proud…proud of the fact her daughter is serving her country, and what her role means to women. The soldiers say they're just happy to see that everyone appreciates what they did. The soldiers have two weeks of vacation, then it's back to monthly drills while they await their next deployment.
