Nebraska State Fair concerts

The Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island opens Friday. Entertainment at the 11-day fair include concerts by Martina McBride and Lifehouse.

Wristbands are required for entry into all free concerts with the exception of the Mel Tillis concert . Each concert's wristbands are available and valid only on the day of that concert.

Visit the Heartland Events Center box office the day of the concert to obtain a wristband. There is a limit of 2 wristbands per person.

Wristbands are divided into four entry times per concert; 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m.  Wristbands for each entry time are available on a first come first serve basis. All wristbands must be secured on the wrist for entry into the concert. You will only be permitted to enter after the specified entry time on your wristband. Wristbands guarantee admission but not necessarily a seat.

The concerts are:  Phil Vassar Aug. 27th  8 p.m., Lifehouse Aug. 28th 8 p.m., Heart Aug. 29th  8pm, Mel Tillis Aug. 31 11 a.m., Casting Crowns Sept. 2 8 p.m., Boys Like Girls Sept. 3 8 p.m., Martina McBride Sept. 5 8 p.m., Josh Turner Sept. 6th 8 p.m.
