Nebraska Supreme Court Withholds A Verdict In A Brutal Murder Case
The prison sentence for the man who killed a pregnant woman from North Platte has been upheld. Daniel Losinger was convicted of the 2001 mutiliation and killing of 40-year-old Vicki Soto. He was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for second degree murder, and ten to 20-years for a felony weapons charge. The recent ruling from the Nebraska Supreme Court comes just three weeks after defense lawyers asked for Losinger's sentence to be reduced. Soto's husband found her body in their home, her throat was cut and both legs were severed below the knee.
