Nebraska Volleyball looks to top national title campaign

LINCOLN, Neb. – At the Nebraska volleyball photo day, it was fun, loose feel for the defending national champions. But what the Polaroid smiles don’t tell you is that the Huskers aren’t satisfied – and they’ve worked all offseason to be even better than last year’s national championship campaign.

"National championships are what we come here for," senior Mikaela Foecke said. "So i think to be able to win two is already great and we’re obviously shooting for a third."

"We all know we want that outcome to be a national title, Big Ten title, but who doesn’t want it?" sophomore Jazz Sweet said. "So we know we’ve got to work hard for that. We know what every Husker fan wants, we know what we want for ourselves, but we have personal goals and it’s a new team and a lot of new players and it’s a lot of old players. So we’ve just got to really figure out how to mesh and make that magic happen again."

The Nebraska volleyball team begins the 2018 season on August 24.
