Nebraska’s first-quarter drive of 80 yards was the Huskers’ longest in yards since a 91-yard game-winning drive against Michigan State last season.The 80-yard drive took 6:25. Nebraska had just three drives that consumed more time in all of 2015, and had only five drives of 6:00 or more last season.Sophomore I-back Devine Ozigbo had a pair of first-half rushing touchdowns. Last season, Ozigbo had one rushing touchdown.Joshua Kalu’s second-quarter sack marked his second career sack. The first sack of his career was last season against Southern Miss.Nebraska rushed for 115 yards in the first half and ran the ball on 20 of its first 21 offensive plays.Kieron Williams had five tackles in the first half. His previous career high was two tackles on two occasions.True freshmen making their Husker debuts tonight included punter Caleb Lightbourn, defensive backs Lamar Jackson and JoJo Domann and I-back Tre Bryant. Huskers making their first career starts in tonight’s game included offensive tackle David Knevel, offensive guards Sam Hahn and Tanner Farmer, defensive tackle Mick Stoltenberg, safety Kieron Williams and punter Caleb Lightbourn.
