Nebraskans Remember President Reagan
Former President Reagan passed away Saturday at the age of 93. One of President Reagan's greatest legacies was placing a renewed emphasis on national defense. According to military officials, the effects are still being felt here in Nebraska even today.
Major General Roger Lempke of the Nebraska National Guard says much of the strength of today's national guard can be traced directly back to the Reagan administration. He says increased military funding led to greatly improved equipment, training, and morale.
