New Immigrant Orientation Held In Lincoln

The Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission brought three bus loads of new immigrants from all over Nebraska to Lincoln Saturday, to teach them about their rights as Americans.  About 175 immigrants went to the second annual “New Immigrant Orientation” at the Cornhusker Marriot.

The conference was designed to teach immigrants about their rights, regarding employment, housing and health care. Hopefully, they'll leave with a better understanding about how to live their lives in Nebraska to the fullest.  One attendee says the conference motivated him, to make a positive impact in his hometown.
