LINCOLN, Neb. – Scott Frost spoke to the media on Friday, following a scrimmage in Memorial Stadium.

It was the Huskers second scrimmage of fall camp, Here are a few notes from Frost at the midway point of camp.

*Quarterback race is now down to two people. Frost said Adrian Martinez had a better day than Tristan Gebbia on Friday, but the players are neck and neck for the starting position.

*Tre Bryant has a tweaked, sprained ankle. Frost said the injury isn’t serious, but has slowed down Bryant over the last few days of practice.

*Two safeties playing multiple position. Frost mentioned that he’d like to see the Husker safeties play both positions in the Nebraska secondary.

*Depth will be evaluated in the next few days, hoping to solidify it by game week.

*Former players visited practice this morning, including a number from Frost’s 1997 national championship team.

Frost also mentioned that the offense had a solid day with a number of reps.

We will have full coverage throughout the day on Channel 8/KLKN TV.
