No Call List Threatens Nebraska Telemarketing Jobs

More than 20 state's have passed laws to protect citizens from telemarketers.  The so-called no-call lists threaten thousands of telemarketing jobs in Nebraska.   One Lincoln State Senator says he'll try to pass a no-call call law when the Nebraska Legislature convenes later this year.  Nebraska is loaded with telemarketing companies because of its central time zone location but an exact number of telemarketing employees is unknown.   The industry is powerful enough to retain its own lobbyist to block new laws from hurting their business.  The attorney general's office can help you block telemarketers from calling your home although Nebraska lawmakers haven't passed a no-call list.
