No Decision Reached in NU President Search

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents was expected to chose a new University President Tuesday, but opted to study the candidates further. They voted late Tuesday afternoon to conduct further interviews with two of the four finalists, University of North Carolina Vice President J.B. Mlliken and Admiral James Ellis Junior, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base. Regents Chairman Don Blank of McCook said they wanted more information from those two candidates.

Lincoln Regent Charles Wilson emphasized that the field has 'not' been narrowed to those two candidates, and that the other two, N.U. official Kim Robak and University of Maine President Peter Hoff are still in the running. They also say they want their choice to be unanimous. The additional interviews with Ellis and Milliken have been scheduled for Friday, May 28th.
