No Kill Canine Rescue

Right here in Lincoln, thousands of dogs are looking for a place to call home.

And one group hopes they can help.  Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue works to match dogs with foster homes while a permanent home is found.

Founder Carl Skinner says the group focuses on “dogs that have fallen through the cracks,” mainly mixed breeds that may not have a specific rescue organization.  And in just 18 short months, 55 dogs have been adopted…”it's a way to really change a dog's life and a potential adopter's life because they're going to have a great dog in their home that may not have ever seen a good home.”

The group is always looking for additional foster parents and homes.  And urges anyone who is considering a dog or pet to give adoption a try.
