Norfolk Suspect Pleads Guilty
One of four suspects in the deadly Norfolk bank robbery pleaded guilty in Madison County court today. Erick Vela was scheduled for more pre-trial motions today, but instead entered guilty pleas on all 13 counts. Three felony charges in the robbery, five counts of murder and use of a weapon. The Madison County Attorney says information at trial would have shown that Vela allegedly entered the U-S Bank with Jose Sandoval and Jorge Galindo. The County Attorney claims Vela shot Lisa Bryant at her desk, near the bank door. Sandoval and Galindo also face five counts each of first-degree murder.
