NU Baseball Beats N. Colorado on Walk Off Hit in 9th Inning

Josh Scheffert singled in the winning run with two out in the ninth inning Tuesday night to give Nebraska a 5-4 victory over Northern Colorado.

Joe Sawicki hit Kash Kalkowski with a pitch to start the bottom of the ninth. Kalkowski moved up on a sacrifice bunt and took third on a fly ball before Scheffert drove him in with a base hit to shortstop. Harrison Lambert had tied it 4-all in the top of the ninth with his RBI single off Casey Hauptman.

Cory Burleson singled in two runs and Khiry Cooper scored on Michael Pritchard's squeeze bunt as Nebraska (15-7) turned a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth. Tony Crudo had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Bears (1-12).
