NU Men’s Basketball Banquet Set

Fans are encouraged to join the Husker basketball staff and the Nebraska Athletic Department, as they celebrate the season and say farewell to this year's senior class at the 2011 Men's Basketball Postseason Banquet. This year's banquet will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Station in the Haymarket in downtown Lincoln.
Join the coaching staff, administration, basketball team and other Nebraska fans to honor the 2010-11 team. Seniors Lance Jeter, Drake Beranek and Matt Karn will be featured during the evening, which will highlight their accomplishments and contributions to the Nebraska basketball program.
Individually, Jeter earned third-team All-Big 12 honors this season, leading Nebraska in scoring at 11.6 points per game while ranking among the Big 12 leaders in assists (4.6, fourth), steals (1.7, fifth) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.3-to-1, second). He is eighth on Nebraska's single-season assist list and is on pace to become the first Husker in a decade to lead Nebraska in points and assists in the same season. Beranek joined the team for two seasons after transferring from Nebraska-Kearney, and played in all 32 contests, including five starts, while sparking the team with his aptitude for hustle plays. Karn was a key contributor in practices and in the weight room for the Huskers each of his three seasons under coach Doc Sadler.
Following dinner, the banquet will include highlight and feature videos of the season, with a special tribute to careers of the three seniors. Coach Sadler will also speak about the season and the seniors. The event will conclude with the Jack Moore Award, which is given annually to the team MVP, as well as other awards for outstanding performances throughout the season.
Cost for the banquet is $25 per person. Parking is available in the metered parking lot south of Lincoln Station or in the adjacent north lot at minimal cost. Attire for the evening is business dress.
