Wisconsin and Nebraska Earn Weekly Softball Honors
Wisconsin's Mueller named Player of the Week; Nebraska's Lockman tabbed Pitcher of the Week;
Huskers' Knighten earns Freshman of the Week honors
Player of the Week
Michelle Mueller, Wisconsin
Sr., 3B, La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Logan
- · Batted .600 with nine hits, 18 RBI, five runs scored and four home runs in leading Wisconsin to a 5-0 record last week, including a Big Ten sweep over Illinois
- · In the three games against the Illini, batted .600 (6-of-10), belted three home runs, tallied an on-base percentage of .636 and slugged at a clip of 1.600
- · Went a combined 3-of-5 from the plate with nine RBI in a doubleheader sweep over North Dakota, including a grand slam
- · Tallied a double in the series opening win over Illinois
- · Went 4-for-4 and plated a school-record eight runs in game two versus the Illini, including three consecutive home runs, which ties the second-best performance in NCAA history
- · Drove in the Badgers' second run, and scored the game winning run in a 3-2 victory over the Illini in Sunday's series finale
- · Collects her second career Big Ten Player of the Week honor

Pitcher of the Week
Emily Lockman, Nebraska

- · Picked up three wins on the week, including a pair of victories over Iowa to help the Huskers record a weekend sweep
- · Pitched a total of 15.0 innings, scattering six hits while allowing one earned run
- · For the week, recorded a 0.47 earned-run-average, tossing one shutout and another combined shutout
- · Against 2013 NCAA Tournament participant Northern Iowa, threw the first 4.0 innings of a 4-0 win, striking out a pair of batters
- · Pitched all 6.0 innings in game two of the Iowa series, striking out four while allowing just one base hit
- · Threw all five innings of a run rule win against the Hawkeyes in the series finale, allowing two hits as Nebraska cruised to an 18-0 victory
- · Wins her second career Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor and second this season

- · In the weekend series against the Hawkeyes, batted .571 (4-of-7) and tallied an on-base percentage of .700
- · Went 2-for-2 from the plate and drew one walk in a mid-week game against Nebraska-Omaha
- · In game two of the Iowa series, went 2-for-2 with one double and one walk
- · In the series finale against the Hawkeyes, tallied two hits, drove in a pair of runs, scored one run and collected one walk
- · Earns her second consecutive Freshman of the Week honor
