Huskers Picked Second in Big Ten Preseason Poll

Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska volleyball team was picked to finish second by the Big Ten coaches in the conference's preseason poll released on Thursday.

Husker outside hitters Kadie Rolfzen and Kelsey Fien were named to the 14-member preseason All-Big Ten Team. Both were All-Big Ten performers in 2014.

The Huskers, coming off their third straight NCAA regional final appearance, return all but one starter from last year's team. The Huskers went 23-10 overall and 14-6 in the Big Ten to finish fourth. Nebraska earned a No. 5 preseason rank in the AVCA Coaches Poll released Wednesday.

Defending NCAA champion Penn State was chosen as the conference favorite, topping the preseason poll for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons. Illinois was third and defending B1G champion Wisconsin was fourth, while Minnesota rounded out the top five.
