NUTT TURNS DOWN NEBRASKA
Houston Nutt said no to Nebraska's reported $2.5 million annual salary to coach the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In a Saturday news conference, Nutt said his loyalties were with the Razorback program and fans. Steve Pederson made a last-minute counter proposal Nutt and his family had to consider over night. In the end, Nutt made a decision to stick with the Arkansas program and he received assurances he would inherit the athletic director position when Frank Broyles resigns. Nutt said he still wants to accomplish several unfulfilled goals at Arkansas.
