Olympic Swimmer’s Mother To Speak In Ashland

The mother of Michael Phelps will talk about her son's struggle with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder during a visit to Nebraska.

Debbie Phelps is expected to speak at 11 AM January 24 at the Strategic Air and Space Museum In Ashland.

Her son made history last summer by winning 8 gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics for the United States.

As a child, Michael had trouble sitting still in elementary school and was eventually diagnosed with ADHD.

Debbie Phelps talk will be part of a day long seminar on health topics ranging from Alzheimer's disease and autism disorders.
