Lincoln Police arrested 57-year-old James Fitzsimmons for robbery and terroristic threats after they say he tried to rob the US Bank at 70th and A last month.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. on July 29th. Police say Fitzsimmons drove up to the bank drive-thru and sent a handwritten not through the chute, demanding money. The note threatened gunmen outside the bank and bombs planted within, both threats the police later proved false. When the teller went and got her supervisor, police say Fitzsimmons drove off.
