Online Auto Scams

The Nebraska State Patrol says citizens need to be aware of fraudulent automobile sale ads on craigslist.

Vehicles in question are listed for sale by out–of–state owners.

People who have been scammed say they paid for the vehicles only to find out they don't exist nor does the person they were communicating with.

Individuals placing the ads appear to be Nigerian scam artists operating overseas.
