Overnight Shooting Worries Neighbors

An overnight drive–by shooting shakes things up for one North Lincoln neighborhood.

LPD got the call that two bullets were fired into a home on North 28th street around 1:30 this morning.

Police say the first bullet came through the living room window, before stopping in the kitchen wall. The second entered through a bedroom window where a 2–year old child was sleeping.

Neighbors say something like this happening is almost unheard of, “not like this. We've had a few incidents where kids got in trouble or whatever. But nothing like this.”

No one was injured during the shooting. Police are still actively investigating this incident. So far, no arrests have been made.
