Authorities say pavement work likely will hamper traffic on U.S. Highway 6 in eastern Nebraska next month.
The Nebraska Roads Department says a chip seal project is scheduled to begin Aug. 2 on a six-mile stretch between Ashland and Greenwood. The department says chip seal is an application of an asphalt binder to a roadway surface, followed by an aggregate.
One-lane traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot vehicle over the three-day project. Delays should be expected.
