Petteway to Play for Milwaukee Summer League Team

Former Husker Terran Petteway will continue his quest to make an NBA roster beginning this weekend with the Las Vegas Summer League.

Petteway will play for the Milwaukee Bucks in Las Vegas, as the event runs July 8-18. In all, 24 teams will be in action in Vegas with each team playing three games before the playoffs start on July 13. Milwaukee will play Cleveland in the tournament opener on July 8 at 5 p.m. that will be televised nationally on NBA TV. All three of the Bucks games will be on NBA TV, including matchups with the USA NBA D-League Select (July 10, 3:30 p.m.) and Memphis (July 11, 3 p.m.).

Petteway played for Fort Wayne in the NBA D-League last season, averaging 11.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. This is his second appearance in the NBA Summer League, as he played for Atlanta last season and got to training camp with the Hawks. He played two seasons at Nebraska, averaging 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as a junior. He garnered first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2014, averaging a conference-high 18.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in helping the Huskers to the NCAA Tournament.
