Police arrest suspect in April shooting incident

Lincoln police say a 26-year-old man was arrested in the shooting outside a Lincoln barber shop.
Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood says Jerome Shackelford was arrested Friday. Flood says on April 19, Shackelford confronted a man outside the Oasis Barber Shop near 22nd and O Streets.
The victim told police he was leaving the barber shop and was confronted by three men. Police say the victim got into a car, and one of the men fired shots at the car. No one was hurt.
On Friday, officers served a warrant at Shackelford's address and found a gun matching the one used on April 19. Shackelford was arrested for attempted 1st degree Assault, Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Defaced Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
