Police investigate home invasion robbery

Police say it happened at around 11:30 Monday night in north Lincoln.

Lincoln police say it's the third in just two months in the neighborhood near U Street and Village Avenue.   Police say the victim heard his doorbell, and when he went to answer it a man at the door asked for someone the victim didn't know.  That's when the suspect pushed his way into the home and demanded money.

The victim told police they started physically fighting.  Police say the suspect took the victim's marijuana and drug paraphernalia and left.  Police are looking for a black man with shoulder length braids, 5'6″, 190 pounds, 18-20 years old.  He was wearing a black coat and blue jeans.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises.  He was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia.
