Police looking for steel thief

Lincoln police are looking for thieves who took thousands of dollars of steel from a construction company.

Police officer Katie Flood says it happened between June 11th-22nd.  Flood says they believe the gold colored pickup was used to steal $68,370 worth of steel tie plates, angle bars, comp bars and switch ties from a yard northeast of Apollo Steel, 7200 Amanda Road.  The items are owned by Judds Brothers Construction.

Investigators consulted with car dealers and the truck is possibly a Ford F-250 or F-350 Super duty 4-dr pickup from years 2000-2006,  Harvest Gold Metallic (tan) in color with reverse opening rear
doors.
