Lincoln Police arrested a Missouri man on suspicion of robbing a CVS Monday night.

An anonymous tip led police to 54–year–old Antonio Washington just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Police said he was visiting a friend at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Washington Street. They said his description matched that of the suspect identified in surveillance footage.

“Jeans matching what the suspect wore were found in Antonio’s belongings,” Ofc. Katie Flood of the Lincoln Police Dept. said. “And later, two witnesses positively identified him in a photo line–up.”

Police said Washington walked into the CVS near 14th and Superior Streets Monday night and demanded money from a clerk. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He’s been arrested for robbery.
