Police quickly catch robbery suspect

Police say the 31-year-old suspect tried to rob the U-Stop on West O Street Thursday morning.

Lincoln Police officer Katie Flood says Jeremy Smith, a transient, walked into the store, grabbed a bag of chips and went to the counter.  Flood says she had his hand in his pocket implying he had a gun and demanded money from the clerk.  Another store employee told him to leave and he did.  Police say they found Smith just a block away and arrested him for robbery.
