Police arrested 19-year-old Keith Fitzwater after they say he crashed into two cars, causing one rollover.
It happened on 27th Street just south of Holdrege around midnight. Police say Fitzwater was driving north when he rear-ended a Mercury at a high rate of speed, flipping the other car across the median.
The 33 year old mother inside was ejected from the Mercury, and her 14-year-old son was trapped inside.
Fitzwater then drove on, hitting another car before running off the road and into a curb.
The two victims in the mercury were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say they found Fitzwater with marijuana and a hallucinogenic drug in his system. They arrested him for DUI, leaving the scene of an injury accident, and willful reckless driving.
