She said she had cancer and many
people believed her, but officials say it was all a lie.

Police arrested
31–year–old April Nesslein Wednesday.

They say
she told church and community members she was suffering from cancer, a brain
tumor and only had months to live.

Officer
Katie Flood says, “During the investigation several medical
evaluations show that she does not nor never had any documented type of
cancer.”

The
affidavit says Nesslein received approximately $11,888.39 in monetary benefits,
including; rent payments, purchases of new furniture, groceries, clothing and
other household items.

Nesslein appeared
in court Thursday and was charged with Theft by Deception.

Her next
court appearance is April 14th.
