A man is dead after a police officer shot and killed him early this morning.

It happened after police responded to a disturbance call at a home on 17th and “A” streets.

A 16-year old boy who lives in the home told us this morning he believes Scott Gannon was shot twice.

Lincoln residents near 17 and “A” streets say they all woke up to the same thing early this morning.

The first officer to arrive on the scene was making a traffic stop nearby.
