Proposed Events Center In Lincoln

The Capitol city may soon be getting a new convention center and arena. This comes in response to a recent study showing that the Pershing and Devaney Centers are too small and outdated. Thursday, the Chamber of Commerce announced that a local consulting firm is coming up with recommendations for the proposed arena and convention center. The Community Consensus Committee will first gauge reaction from citizens and businesses, and look at the possible economic impacts. No decision has been made on a possible location. The consulting firm will present its final recommendations in June.
