Proposed Smoking Ban
The city of Lincoln could be getting closer to becoming a smoke free city. The Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department is trying to convince the City Council to pass a one-hundred percent smoke free ordinance. Tonight the Health Department held an open forum for Lincoln business owners to discuss the effects of the proposal. If passed, the ban would effect work places, bars and restaurants. Some business owners are concerned that it would mean fewer customers, while others view it as a good way to protect themselves and their employees from second-hand smoke.
