Record Setting Night for the Saltdogs

Gavin Dickey set a new club record en route to a 14-9 Saltdogs win over the El Paso Diablos in front of 13,406 fans at Cohen Stadium Monday night.

Dickey's first-inning RBI double extended his hit streak to 20 games, establishing a new Saltdogs mark, surpassing the 19-gamer previously achieved by Anthony Contreras, Brett Cooley and Cory Harris.
Lincoln scored four runs in each of the first two innings and took a 14-4 lead through six innings.
Alex Maestri (3-5) pitched seven innings, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out four and walking two to earn the win. Scott Hodsdon (2-3) was bounced in the second inning after allowing eight runs – four earned – on seven hits to suffer the loss.
Dickey finished the night 4-for-6 with four runs scored, and smashed his first home run of the season to lead off the fifth.
Phil Hawke hit his second home run in as many nights, a two-run shot to right center in the sixth inning.
Blake Gailen, Pat Trettel and Jeff Howell all had at least two hits as well.
The crowd set a new record for fans attending an American Association ballgame, surpassing the 13,000+ mark which was established in El Paso on the 4th of July of 2008.
The teams meet Tuesday night at 8:05 p.m. for the series finale. John James is scheduled to take the mound against Jae Jung. Radio coverage begins at 7:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
