According to a report from ESPN’s Joe Schad, Ohio State will hire former Nebraska offensive coordinator Tim Beck.

The Buckeyes current offensive coordinator, Tom Herman, has accepted the head coaching job at the University of Houston. According to an anonymous source cited in Schad’s report, “Co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach is a likely title” for Beck at Ohio State.

Beck is expected to join the Buckeyes after the national championship game. Ohio State will play Oregon for the national title Monday.

Beck has coached quarterbacks, running backs and called the offensive plays for Nebraska since he started at Nebraska in 2008.

This past season, the Huskers averaged 38.7 points per game and accumulated 5,880 yards of total offense.
