Rescued puppies still need homes

15 of the 35 puppies rescued them from their breeder are still in need of homes.

Carol Graham says, “I saw it on TV and I just started crying because I love animals.  All animals, especially dogs.”  She's adopting Cloudy, one of 35 dogs rescued by the Nebraska Heart Bandits from an Omaha breeder.

“Carol says, “I can always use another friend, too.”

Cloudy and the other puppies are still at the Parkview Animal Hospital getting cleaned up and ready for their new homes.

On top of that, more people have been doing everything in their power to help out.

Dr. Kim Weber from Parkview Animal Hospital says, “the response from the citizens of Lincoln and all of the surrounding communities has been wonderful.  The outpouring of phone calls and money donations to either us, to the Heart Bandits, or to Wells Fargo has been wonderful and greatly appreciated.”

Dr. Weber says 15 puppies still need homes.  The clinic is also in need of donations – it takes about $100 per day to care for each dog.

There's an open house at Parkview Animal Hospital Saturday morning from 8:30 to 11:30.

You can drop off money at the Parkview Animal Hospital, which is located 3201 South 10th St.  You can also stop by at any Wells Fargo bank or send directly to the Nebraska Heart Bandits Association at Nebraska Heart Bandits American Eskimo Dog Rescue, PO Box 23183, Lincoln, NE 68542.
