Rev. Jesse Jackson speaks at UNL

A long-time Civil Rights leader and former Presidential candidate spoke to 2000 people at UNL Wednesday. Reverend Jesse Jackson's speech entitled “There's Still More To Be Done” hit close to home for many college students.

“If you know someone who is facing student loan debt…stand,” Rev. Jesse Jackson said.

One student says this speech was really personal for her. “I almost teared up actually, because I thought about, you know, things I've gone through the last two years of me going here as a UNL student,” Camille Scott said.

The speech was just one part of the University's Diversity Leadership symposium, two other events were also held this month.
