Coming off a world series appearance last season the Kansas City Royals are a popular sight to see.

Fans in the capital city jammed into a Haymarket restaurant for 93.7 the Ticket’s Kansas City Royals caravan.

The caravan consist of current players Terrance Gore, Erik Kratz, Royals hall-of-famer Willie Wilson and broadcaster Rex Hudler. They are traveling to Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas to meet fans and give autographs.

Fans filled in around Longwell’s restaurant as they waited for their chance to get up close.

Royals hall-of-famer Willie Wilson said meeting people is the best part of the event.

“Well to see the reaction to the fans especially with the new guys, this is something they haven’t experienced and it’s nice for me to be able to experience it with them because I had it once before, so its really neat.”

Royals fan, Illa Jean, had a baseball signed by Wilson to take home to her husband.

“It was really excited i’m just really glad we got to come and that they came to Lincoln.”

At the event fans had the chance to look at plenty of Royals gear alongside an 8,000 George Brett baseball card collection.

The caravan’s last day is January 30th where they will make stops in Denison, IA, Maryville, MO and Saint Joseph, MO.
