Salvation Army Helps Families In Need for Christmas
Christmas came a little early for more than a thousand of Lincoln's less fortunate families. This marked the 116 year of the Salvation Army Toy Shop. The goal is to make sure every child will have presents to open come Christmas morning. The line stretched down the block before the doors were even open. More than 13-hundred families asked the Salvation Army for help this Christmas. And as they do every year, the Salvation Army answered them all.
But the Christmas giving doesn't end with toys. Each family also receives a food voucher to buy Christmas dinner and even a Christmas tree.
