Sandoval Found Guilty

It took a jury just over two and a half hours to find Jose Sandoval guilty on all five counts of first-degree murder in the Norfolk bank massacre. Prosecutors had said he was the ring-leader in last year's shootings. Sandoval was accused of personally murdering 3 out of the 5 victims. Victim's families wiped away tears and held hands as the verdict was read, while Sandavol stared straight ahead, motionless. Sandavol had a smirk on his face while police led him out of Hamilton County Court. He now faces life in prison or the death penalty. The second phase of the trial begins Tuesday morning inside the same courtroom and with the same jury. They must decide whether circumstances of Sandavol's case merit the death penalty. A three judge panel will then hand down the sentence. It's expected to take a few days before they make a decision on weather or not Sandavol should get the death penalty.
