UPDATE: LPD releases shooting victim identity

UPDATE: Lincoln Police have released the name of the victim from Monday afternoon’s shooting.  

Christopher Coleman, 32, was shot and killed near 20th Street and Euclid Avenue.  

Officers says Jerry Griffis, 21, also shot at the scene is in critical condition.

His three children were in the home at the time.  They were not injured in the shooting.

The investigation is drug related.

Lincoln Police have confirmed one person is dead after shots were fired at 20th Street and Euclid Avenue.  Officers say one other person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  

Police are still looking for one male suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.  If you have any information, please call Crimestoppers 402-475-3600.

When the shooting happened, there were children in the home, but they are all safe and uninjured. Officers say a dog was shot and Animal Control is taking care of it.

Prescott Elementary went on lock out while the search for suspect ensued.  The students are gradually being let out to parents.
