School Board Passes Budget
After major cuts in state funding Lincoln Public Schools is one of many districts trying to create a budget that will make ends meet. The school board passed the 2003-2004 budget. The total L-P-S budget falls in the 250-million dollar range. About 46-million dollars will come from the state. But that's 7-million less than L-P-S was planning on. The board is also looking to find a replacement for Superintendent Phil Schoo. He'll retire next june, and the board will begin taking applications for the position in October.
