The school bus ended up on its side the truck has lots of damage from the fire.

Traveling east on 25th street the Lancaster County sheriff's office says the driver of the pick-up truck failed to yield at an intersection.

Authorities say he should have stopped but a stop sign that's usually there was missing.

That's when the pickup truck hit the school bus coming from the east on Gage road.

The school bus ended up on it's side because of the force and the inirtia they ended up in the southeast part of the intersection.

The driver of the pickup was 50 year old Jeff Hall of Hickman.

The driver of the bus was 67 year old Ronnie Aden of Cortland, both are in serious condition.

The Lancaster County sheriff's office says the bus was carrying more than 40 Norris school children, all made it out with only minor injuries.

35 people were taken to Lincoln area hospitals.

The rest were taken to Norris school.

“Once we arrived here we started taking down name of who was on the bus. When we found out who was taken where we notified the school that's when the secretary started calling parents,” Superintendant Roy Baker said.

The driver of the pickup was ticketed for wreckless driving.
