For the second year, a
Jessica Anders’ plan would merge her love of running with her concern for her husband’s future. She founded the Anders MS run. “We need to do something. I run plenty of these. I think I know what I’m doing. So, let’s just have one,” Jessica said.
The first Anders MS run took place on rainy day in May of last year. The 5k run attracted about 100 runners and brought in almost $7,800 dollars for the National MS Society. Now, the Anders are lacing up their shoes for another run. This year they say they hope to donate even more money to the fight against MS. “It’s pretty overwhelming to feel that you’ve affected the community. Possible affected more lives that you’ve never even met. You’ve never seen. That’s pretty neat,” Brian said.
The 2nd Annual 5k run/1 mile walk for Multiple Sclerosis will take place on Saturday, May 31st at 8 am. If you would like to take part in the run or donate to the cause, you can click on Anders MS Run.
